My Skiff

2024 18 Hewes

Almost 19′ long and 8′ wide.  A very smooth riding and super stable fishing platform.

Powered by a 2024 Yamaha 115 SHO.  The finest in Humminbird electronics as well as the Riptide Instinct trolling motor and a pair of Raptor shallow water anchors by Minn Kota.

It is the perfect skiff for running around the backcountry of the Everglades.  With the fuel economy of the 4 stroke Yamaha and the fuel capacity of this boat it has nearly unlimited range.

When I bought this skiff I had the choice of any skiff on the market.  None fit my needs like the Hewes.

A 1992 Silver King 16, legendary tarpon skiff. Powered by a 2023 115hp Yamaha. This boat is almost 8′ wide. The most stable and best riding of any skiff in it’s class.

Just like me, this boat is old school.  I had this boat custom built for me back in 1992 when I started my guide business.  It has been garage kept and is in immaculate shape.  It is equipped with the finest in marine electronics by Humminbird.  Terrova I-Pilot trolling motor and Raptor shallow water anchors by Minn Kota.

This skiff I have as a backup just in the case of my Hewes has a major mechanical issue.
